As being one of the top 5 global leading hub in the world, the city reaches to 1.5 billion people living within four hours’ flying time and being the only city on two continents gives the city a unique and privileged position.

Istanbul International Ataturk Airport ranks in 4th place in terms of overall hub connectivity, up from 13th place back in 2006. (Airport Industry Connectivity Report released in 2016). While ranking among the world’s major airline companies with its impressive growth figures and already having the world’s 4th largest flight network. Turkish Airlines continues to grow by adding new destinations to its network and today they are flying to more than 300 direct flights which makes them the number 1 airline flying to more countries than any other airline in the world.

In terms of connectivity Istanbul is expanding rapidly

Istanbul Grand Airport (3rd international airport): Set to be one of the largest in the world in terms of passenger capacity (150 million per year) will make Istanbul the largest airline hub in the world and expected to be completed in 2018.
