OIC Summit successfully held in Istanbul
13th Session of the Islamic Summit Conference (OIC Istanbul Summit) was held in Istanbul Congress Center – ICC , on 10 – 15 April 2016. The Government of the Republic of Türkiye hosted the OIC Summit in Istanbul with the “Unity and Solidarity for Justice and Peace” theme.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (formerly the Organization of the Islamic Conference), which has currently 56 member and five observer states over four continents, was established upon a decision of the historical summit which took place in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco on 25 September 1969 to be the collective voice and to safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony by advancing political, economic, cultural, scientific and social solidarity and cooperation among member states.
