Our member Divan Istanbul Hotel goes green!
Divan Hotels takes part in TUROB’s Greening Hotels project undertaken to make the world a more liveable place for future generations. Audited by the leading accreditation firm Bureau Veritas on energy management, water management, internal air quality and recycling processes throughout the Project, Divan İstanbul was awarded the “Greening Hotels Gold” certificate for 2 years from November 2015 by succesfully meeting all criteria. This puts 12 Divan Hotels including Divan İstanbul in the Greening Hotels Türkiye accredited hotels list.
Divan Group’s environment friendly approach continues at full speed. A keen supporter and contributor to the idea that competitive power in tourism industry will be attained through sustainable growth principles applied on an industry basis, Divan Hotels was recently accredited by leading accreditation firm Bureau Veritas to take part in the Greening Hotels list of TUROB. Divan İstanbul, a Taksim landmark, is well aware that going green is a prerequisite of sustainable tourism and as such successfully satisfied all criteria in energy management, water management, internal air quality and recycling processes at the highest “Gold” level and was awarded the “Greening Hotels” certificate. In addition to Divan İstanbul’s Gold certificate, 11 other Divan hotels were also awarded the title at various levels.
