When we look at Istanbul’s place within the rankings, the statistics show us that Istanbul’s meeting number increased 75 percent last year. Our city has been in a rising trend for the past 3 years.
We jumped to 84th place from 133rd and now we are in the 44th place in the world. Istanbul’s potential within the meeting industry is undeniable because our city is a unique destination with its different treasurable aspects. We now consider 2020 the year of planning, and we have been working on our long-term meeting plans for the upcoming years for a while now. Our goal, for now, is to make sure Istanbul gets into top 20. Hopefully, after seeing a full recovery for the world, Istanbul will continue to rise within the rankings and the industry.”
